Practice: Sustainable Christmas Greetings.
Contributed by: Paulette L. Stenzel
Description: For those friends for whom I have email addresses, I am sending an emailed Christmas letter instead of spending money and using resources to send a card and letter via U.S. mail. I am contributing at least $1 for each emailed letter to KIVAhttp://kiva.org to sponsor two micro-loans, one each in Peru and in Nicaragua. If I send more than fifty cards letters and cards, I will sponsor a third loan. This saves resources (paper and energy) and is sustainable. When I am repaid, I can lend the funds to someone else through KIVA.

Practice: Sharing Information About Organic Foods
Contributed by: Evan Braedon
Description: My friend Evan Braedon shares information about organic foods by printing copies of the newsletter Organic Bytes published by the Organic Consumers Association at www.organicconsumers.org. Each month, he places copies of the one-page newsletter in five to ten bookstores and gathering places around the Lansing, Michigan area.
